Individualised on-ward training is provided, as well as extensive support. Work is carried out in shifts with 32-36 hours of work per week.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- To provide nursing service, counselling, and support to patients and their families
- Participation in interdisciplinary teamwork
- Active participation in development and implementation of innovations in nursing
Qualifications
- Licence to practise as a registered nurse
- Education that meets the requirements as defined in the regulation on the education, rights and obligations of registered nurses and criteria for granting of licenses and specialist licenses. The regulation is issued by the Healthcare Practitioners Act.
- Fluent English and willingness to learn Icelandic
- Professional ambition and excellent communication skills
