Landspitali - The National University Hospital of Iceland is seeking to hire a Radiation Therapist
Landspítali is seeking to hire a radiation therapist (radiographer) to join our Department of Radiotherapy. Our department is the only clinic in Iceland offering radiotherapy. We treat around 1000 cancer patients yearly with two Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators and a Elekta brachytherapy afterloader. Our purpose is to deliver excellent clinical outcomes with high accuracy radiotherapy.
We seek an ambitious radiation therapist who takes initiative and is comfortable working in a team environment. The position is already available but starting date is negotiable. The position is a 60-100% position, daytime.
MAIN PROJECTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- CT simulation and participation in treatment planning
- Administering radiation therapy treatments
- Participating in routine QA of CT and linear accelerators
- Participating in the implementation of new techniques and workflows
QUALIFICATIONS
- Icelandic Radiographer license
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Experience in radiation therapy is desirable
- Knowledge of the Icelandic language is desirable
- Fluency in English and willingness to learn Icelandic is essential

Salary according to the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Economics and the The Icelandic Society of Radiographers.
The position is already available but starting date is negotiable. Application deadline is up to and including November 11th, 2024.
